Many folks have visited Carson Valley in the past whether by accident or
because it is on their way to someplace and promptly fallen in love with its
bucolic beauty. Huge fields of alfalfa, hay and onions making wide-open spaces
to where the mountains that surround the valley spring up and engulf you with
it?s beauty. Often, the mountaintops are peaked in white almost year round. That
marks the edge of a blue, blue sky that may have fluffy clouds or maybe rolled
over them. It is this beauty that draws people to move here.
The Carson Valley prides itself on a hometown feel even if you have just
moved here. The traditions of clean streets, low crime and friendly neighbors
continue to be a mainstay in our towns.
The Carson Valley residents have created special events to help preserve a
wholesome way of life that makes living here so special. Such events as concerts
in the park, Carson Valley days, The Parade of Lights and the Candy Dance, to
name a few, serve as a reminder of the pride in the community and tribute to our
way of life.
